Can you bypass the waiting room in Zoom? ›

You can send all participants to the waiting room when joining your meeting, or you can allow participants from your Zoom account and participants with specified domains to bypass the waiting room.

Sign in to the Zoom web portal. You can view the list of public meetings and webinars that you can join by signing into your Zoom account and hovering on the JOIN link at the top of the page. Click Public Event List.

Ultrasonic sound proximity detection enables the Zoom Room controller to generate an ultrasonic signal that can be detected by the Zoom Desktop Client. If the Zoom Desktop Client detects the signal in a Zoom Room, it automatically connects to the Zoom Room when the attendee selects Share Screen.

From the Security menu, click on Lock Meeting. You can unlock the meeting by going back into the menu and removing the selection.

How do you skip breakout rooms in Zoom? ›

Can the host see what I'm doing on my screen? Hosts and meeting participants cannot see your screen without your permission nor without you knowing. Upon joining a Zoom meeting, the host and other participants cannot see your computer screen.

Zoom meetings differ from real life conversations in terms of perceptual information. Judging gaze direction on Zoom probably won't tell you much about whether others are paying attention. You can tell whether someone is paying attention to the conversation by counting their blinks.

You can enable (or disable) the waiting room at any point before or during a class from the Security tab in Zoom: Participants who join the meeting will now be placed in the waiting room until you admit them.

Security: Clear the Waiting Room check box to disable the waiting room for the meeting. Options: Click Show, then select the Allow participants to join anytime check box. Note: You can also specify an alternative host, which allows someone else to start the meeting on your behalf as well as manage participants.

Lock meeting: Locks the meeting, preventing new participants from joining the meeting. Waiting room: Enables the waiting room for new incoming participants or to move current participants into the waiting room.
